Aside from oil and acrylic painting, a favorite pass time of mine is adding color and contour to the “doodles” my late husband Larry Love, drew. He would always draw on lined notebook paper and used a pen, never pencil. Like working on crossword puzzles, to him, that would be considered cheating. (I would wear out an eraser!)
Below was our first doodle, and still my favorite. To me, it is a sleeping bird.

DIY Relax, sip tea and doodle on plain or lined paper. One secret is to not cross a line. Color with markers or leave as is. The more you stare at them you will start to see identifiable shapes. The ones below were scanned into the computer. I used Photo Shop Deluxe, which was the very first program that came with our digital camera. Water color pens would also be fun.
